I lost my 24yr old son Nicholas in a car accident April 4th 2009. He was on his way to work at 5:30 on a Saturday morning to work overtime, and three hours later the state police were at my house informing me of his death.

You want to talk sudden loss... violent loss... There wasn't an unbroken part of his body! He was hit head on by a 2002 F250 while he at 6'3" was driving a 93' geo prism, he never stood a chance.

He was my first born, my only son, and one of my best friends...the loss is life altering. Hate to keep grieving with family and friends, thought I'd try a site like this to see the steps of grief I am feeling, when I'm feeling them, and hopefully how to get out of the several day "funks".
